So, after losing the last two months, I am getting the car MOT's on Saturday, and want to get the rack done ASAP after that, so thinking of ordering the bits this week.

I am happy to order a number of full sets (less a pair of gaiters) - If you want Stu's Brass inserts, then we can sort that out seperately, before I arrange the kits to be delivered SE pikey courier style.

Who's in?

1. Ceejam
2.Tut
3.Stu x 2
4.<Stu 2nd kit!>
5. Campbell
6. Ferg ( without gaitors if possible )

Jamie,

How timely...was just about to get in touch to progress this...

However on the advice of my Chief Engineer, I am now going to leave the refurb to Kenny Brown Motor Engineers I think, so don't worry about a set of bits for me after all. Hope that doesn't upset the group-buy arrangement...

I have a bit of play in my rack and I reckon it's been a few years since it's been done, so for a touch over 20 quid (potentially plus vat) I'm in.

I've removed Campbell and added me in.

Not planning to tackle it anytime soon now but keep me on the list as at the cost we're talking it'll be good to have them 'in stock' so to speak. :thumbsup

I assume removing the gaitors roughly halves the cost?

Thanks for the kit today Jamie, although I still look at the bag of bits and feel somewhat dissapointed! :damnfunny
Should have got the gaitors to make it look more substantial! :thumbsup

Ferg, I have a pair of new gaiters which I may no longer require. Kenneth Brown Motor Engineers took a look at my rack on Monday and it's fubarred, so an exchange unit is now en route from carpartsdirect in Englandshire. If that shows up with fresh gaiters, I'll do you a deal on mine ;-)

I am now very glad I didn't try to do the refurb myself...

If it all goes Pete Tong, these guys are your friends:

Martin seems really clued up. I ordered my exchange rack on Tuesday afternoon and it arrived yesterday, just £8 carriage too. Total price including carriage uplift for my old one, ~£140. Not bad I thought. The new one is crackle finish black, got to be good for at least 2bhp extra ;-)

Proof of the pudding will of course be in the fitting and testing, this Sunday all being well...stay tuned...

If you use the gaiters from Titan (and you should just change them IMO) then stick them in a basin of hot water for 10 minutes before attempting to fit. At first glance, it looks like theres no way they will go on, but they do...
