Not surprised if your experience is purely Spax ;) FWIW, my old school originally valved Nitrons have a very wide window of damping with standard springing (and from others experience, can even go heavier on the springs with no need to change valving). The Ledas I had on it beforehand definitely didn't! I think that's due to actual R&D on the car, not just picking damper lengths and spring rates from a graph that should work.

I replaced the original Konis on my S1 over the winter with Nitron Street Series, along with new steering rack and all front bushes and balljoints. I've just had the a full geo setup done by Clark Motorsport and the car is absolutely transformed. I can't believe the difference in ride quality over the old Konis and am sure I don't remember it being this good when new.
I was swithering between the Nitrons and Bilsteins, but the Nitrons are fully rebuildable which swung it for me. Their quality is amazing, it seems a shame to hide them away under the car.

Allan, what settings are you running front and back? I'm finding the rear is being thrown out (drifting) at setting 18/20 and heights 115/110 when going around fast corners. Ride quality is much improve though :D

Mine are set as they came out of the box which is 20 clicks from hard front and rear. Ride height is 130mm f/r. I've only done about 10 miles on them so far, so I might have to tweak them a bit, but first impressions seem pretty good.
