Fog light stuck on

Post by jimbo » Fri Apr 22, 2011 5:27 pm

Last night I was out and the fog was really bad so, as you would expect, I put the rear fog light on.

Now it doesn't want to go off - the button is stuck :?

I'm fairly sure there's an easy solution to this...

 on a postcard

cheers

Typical of an S1, they get gunged up especially if they have not been used. I put my hazard lights on last year, there was an explosion, and the button disappeared across the road never to be found.

You can take the panel off, pull them out, clean them off, or repair if necessary, but first try spraying a silicone oil, not WD 40, down the sides, and keep pushing on and off until it releases. My sidelight one sticks in, can not be assed sorting it out, so just use dipped beam.

ps if it is knackered I have some spares.

:damnfunny

Cheers tut, I'll have a go with a silicone oil first, then resort to removing if it comes to it. Will keep you posted if I need a spare :thumbsup

As ever, thanks for the quick reply

I was nearly hit by that Hazard switch.

Tut stopped at the usual filling station just before Knockhill, he turned the engine off to re fill which off course meant it wouldn't start again :D . I was pushing N3 out of the way when an object whizzed past my ear.

Don't think i've ever seen N3 drive out of that station :blackeye
