It's probably nothing serious but thought I would ask the following..
I have a new Elise 1.6 and it starts up perfectly fine and then settles into a even idle at 1000 rpm when cold. I always wait around 30 sec. before moving off if the engine is cold. The instant I touch or even blip the throttle (clutch depressed of course) the revs drop sharply prompting me to give it just that bit more. This happens a few times before I get moving properly. It's a fly by wire throttle, so thought this could be normal. My previous exige S2 had the habit of reving briefly to 3k before settling down without even touching the throttle.
Once on the move everything is pefectly fine. I've not had a lot of luck recently (could have been much worse if truth be told) hence the paranoia..
Any thoughts on this will be appreciated. As I said, it's probably normal ,but perhaps still worth asking.
