Hi Guys...
I whacked a nasty pothole on Friday evening, going westbound on the M8 just after Junction 29. There was an epic crash and I'm sure I heard something crack... Anywayz, drove on cautiously and didn't notice anything immediately wrong, tyre/wheel/suspension seemed fine. But, noticed my heater fan was not working after and has been a bit flaky since. It wont go on, and then randomly starts moving and stays on for the rest of my journey. Leave the car off for a bit, stops working again. I'm thinking a connection has moved on impact, something along those lines...
Any ideas what might be up? Anything to do with the heater scares me, as I know I'm going to get shafted getting it sorted !!!
Thanks
P

Normally the resistor pack would be the most likely cause but that probably wouldn't be pothole activated although if the connections are corroded I guess it could have loosened them

Worth a quick check at the switch (easy to take the panel off) connections have been known to come loose there.

Just leaving a quick message on here about this....
Turned out it was the heater blower that was at fault. Apparently, it got a good whack when I hit the pot hole and this buggered the connections.
Initially, I got a hefty quote for the work. I had this replaced last year under warranty by Lotus, about 11 months ago. Now that the car is out of warranty I was expecting to foot the bill but Craig at MMC managed to work his magic and get Lotus to pay for the work in full. So, I'd like to say thanks to him....
