If anyone wants to prove/disprove clam needs to be removed, improved brake feel, access required, who is the best fitter etc etc I am very happy for all to come and visit my non abs, non servo'd s2 111s, discuss it at length and fit new braided hoses then we can see if there is any difference.
I quite fancy having them but due to not being very diy mechanically minded dont want to pay lots to get someone else to do it.
Can't say fairer than that or so I think :thumbsup

yeah....i really had a long look at trying to get to the connections, with out removing the clam… for obvious reasons, however, on the exige S2 its just not do able ......due to the glued in radiator mess and weather shroud (bolted to the clam) you just cant get to it with out the clam coming off.

in contrast the rears are ezeey peezy. You can just remove the wheel and get access to the two connection bolts and locking nut.

on the elise s2 I am guessing you can remove the radiator grills and get the required access to them on the 111r?

on bleeding the brakes I used the ezi bleed devise which using the front tire pressure to push through the fluid…….as this was done i gave the brake hose and calliper tube a little tap to dislodge any air bubbles that may be trapped. I bleed at least 300ml of fluid each side and left the reservoir level at just over max.

I took great care not to get any air into the system…..especially the ABS unit!

The fluid I used was the Halfords dot 4 race fluid, which is nice and cheap but will be okay and do the job…i hope  ....i would ultimately preferred the Castrol srf race fluid, but its quiet expensive at £50 a pop.
