Tips for removing S1 headlight covers
Tips for removing S1 headlight covers
Trying to catch up with little jobs on the elise that I had been ignoring... I've got a shed full of elise parts stuff for my shed!
Not had a proper attempt yet, but are there any tips for removing the light covers without damaging front clam, paintwork etc..?
Will also be changing headlamps at some point too. Do I need to seal the new headlamp or will the gasket on it be good enough?

Try warming the glue with a hairdryer? If you haven't got a hairdryer borrow one from an S2 owner.

Yup, we're back!
Victoria and I are staying with my folks in Blairgowrie for now, and keeping an eye on the job market.
It's a bit cold and wet, but it's good to be home!

Drop me a PM if you're out for a run down the Glens. The kettle's always on.

Bit of fishing line and use it like a cheese wire. You will need to remove the headlight first. When I did mine I used a bit of banding tape that is used on packaging but it did damage the paint a little.
You can't reuse the gasket, you need to get some of that bath sealer stuff from B&Q. Have a search through some of my old posts as I am sure I posted up the details

Re: Tips for removing S1 headlight covers
It depends on how they are stuck on!
If it's the butyl rubbery stuff then you can just pull firmly until it starts to peel away. If they are sikaflex'ed on then you'll need to cut it as above.
