Lambda Sensors... falc.

Post by Rich H » Thu Sep 02, 2010 2:07 pm

Hey all,

SWMBO's little plastic smart thing is moanign about it's post cat lambda sensor.

Am I right in thinking that a lambda sensor is a lambda sensor? (Narrow band)?
It's a 4 wire unit and I have a 4 wire sensor kicking about somewhere - can I just re-wire it to the plug?
Smart obviously want ££££ for one...

I use them even for the wideband stuff, they stock everything. You can spend as little or as much as you like.

P.S It will be a narrow band sensor, if the exhaust gas 02 content reads beyond the target band the ecu will indiciate a fault.
