S2 Seat Rails

Post by ste7en » Thu Aug 12, 2010 10:20 am

Is it possible to fit sliding seat rails to the passenger side of an S2 Elise?

Girlfriend is, shall we say quite compact, so was wondering if the passenger seat could be made to slide forward to give some extra luggage space for extended trips away.
Experience is something you get, just after you need it!!

I think you can fit the runners, but the standard seat will jam up against the gear tunnel. The seating position in the Elise is non-symmetrical - the pax sits more off-centre than the driver (which always makes me feel more out of place sitting in an Elise pax seat)

Is that what it is. I've never been able to put my finger on it, but sitting in the pax side alwasy felt more wrong than any other car i've been in. At first I thought it was the windscreen mirror placement, but thought that wasn't a bit enough thing...
