What oil?

The cars due an oil change. What oil am I best to use? I think its currently got 5w40 Mobil 1 in it but I'm planning to do a few track days over the summer and as I've got no oil coolers am I better going for something like 15w50? The car gets a lot of use on short journeys where it wont get up to temperature so the 15s maybe a bit high. Is there any downside to putting 5w50 in over 15w50 or 5w40 other than the cost?

Neil, I had the twin coolers on my exige and ran it on Silkolene Pro S from Opie oils. The recommended grade for the Exige is 5w40 which I would stick with.
