K-series failed emissions
Re: K-series failed emissions
If you put as much electcul load on the eng as posibel ( Light on mane beam , Heater Ect ). It brings down
the emishon levils as comperd to no load atall during the test. It works on Rover 25,45 so it shood work on yours.

There's no silicone in WD40! Still wouldn't use it as a releasing oil though. It's crap at that.2F45T4U wrote:you really need be carefull with WD40 around a new one, as the silicones in it will kill it instantly.
I guess I must be really lucky as in all the lambda sensors I have removed, I have never had one strip the threads. A good bit heat and a bit of patience seems to do the trick.

But lucky you.
As i said, the threads really weren't bad at all. But i removed the manifold and tapped the hole just to make sure.
Re: K-series failed emissions
When I worked in a garage I never had one strip the threads but you have heating gear etc at your finger tips. If they were tight and bit of heat usually works.
However, Working away in my garage at home its about 50/50.
Big difference from a fully equiped workshop to a man in a shed.
