Squeek

Post by Edin430 » Sun Apr 11, 2010 9:04 pm

I have developed a very bad squeek after hitting a pothole on a run today!

It only squeeks for a split second (but very loudly) when I hit the loud pedal or when the car jurks... The yota lump has a lot of movement on it and when i purposefully jurk the car (sounds wrong) by giving the loud pedal some quick shots the engine sways back and forth - creating the squeek.

Engine mount? Something loose? Going to check the induction is all secure tomorrow but sounds more central than that.

Well if my jokes aren't good enough for you...I don't know.

From how you've described it, you've made it sound like an engine mount. If it was a K I'd ask if you had the cam-belt done recently. Have you had any other work done that's involved loosening any of the mounting bolts?

Other than that - wait and see if it gets worse.
