Tyre Storage

Post by Gooldie » Wed Dec 09, 2009 1:08 pm

Just taken off my standard exige wheels with toyo 888 off the car today and going to be running a set of team Dynamics with T1-R over winter. Just wondered what is the best way to store the 888's should i take them off the rim? or keep them on the rims and increase the pressure any hints?

Just leave them on the rim. Either hang them up or stack horizontally (don't stand them up vertically if on rims).

Ideally somewhere cool, dark and not too humid...

Bl**dy Hell Ali, they are tyres, not bottles of vintage port................. :cheers

Stick the things in the garden shed and forget about them till you next need them, they will be as good as new!

Just ignore them, they are talking crap.

Take them off the rims, and I will store them free of charge in my heated garage until you want them again.

Thanks tut but i fear if leave a set of perfectly good tyres in your hands i may get them back in tatters

Have a nice heated stockroom to keep them in, now not sure if i should keep them on the rims or take them off, any other opinions?

Leave them on - more chance of damage with the de/re-mounting process than with sitting on rims - like Ali says, though, stack them on their side.
