bodyshop?

Post by undone » Sat Nov 07, 2009 11:16 am

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a bodyshop to get a quote from? I've managed to crack the front clam and leave a headlight and indicator in a bit of a predicament.

I'm in the middle of edinburgh and the car's driveable enough - she just doesn't look very good.

Cheers

All the usuals will get suggested but Steve Walker (Bathgate) and Willowbrae (Edinburgh) are the two best locally by general opinion.

Willowbrae do all Murray Motor Companies work and are usually cheaper than Steve Walkers. They are just round the corner from Cameron Toll - Search it on Google and ask for the manager Martin if you want to go local.

Depends on budget... Lots of cash, Steve Walker as they seem to be well recomended on here although they warped the rear bumper on my UR Quattro years ago but prob new staff sice then.....

If your on a tighter budget call SLS and Jimmy next door will do it for you cheaper, he did Andy G's white respray and the front of Donna C's BRG S1 car along with others on here...

Cheers

cheers for the quick replies..

Been to SLS before - I'm not in a huge rush to go back.

Apparently i'm gonna need a new clamshell so definitely an insurance job so i'm not that fussed about the cost!

Dools in Glenrothes did a great job on my front clam. I thought I'd need a clam but didn't - might be worth checking.

Also try Prestige Car Bodies at Cockenzie 01875 818992. They've just done a great job fixing some damage on my front clamshell.
