Went to fill up the lotus last week and noticed that there is alot of corrosion around the fuel filler inlet.... If anyone was paying attention earlier this year, I got a new tank, pump and filler hose fitted as they were all heavily corroded and fuel pump strainer was clogged up causing the car to cut out.
before I had the filler nozzle replaced, there were no external signs of the rust happening, but now its clearer. The cap is letting in moisture/ water penetration which is forming a coating of rust then flowing down the pipe into the tank.
Got a new cap from EP today.
Other than taking tank out again, are there any additives I can fire into the tank to clear this up?
