Re: Tyre pressure
I'd say 29 is way too high - Go with the Seloc figures as a starting point.
I've never run the AD07 tyre, but i run 22F 24R on my K S2 with toyo t1r.

Re: Tyre pressure
Noops and I run ours quite high.(29-31).. however we both have a TPMS fitted and can monitor them and drop out some air if they creep above the upper limit..
And yes 888's do work very well in that range but drop off drastically when you heat them up above 34 psi... and unless you have a TPMS fitted you would never know.
Normal road use, Tut is spot on. You wont go above the drop off point where they stop working if you stick to the recommended figures.

Re: Tyre pressure
yep, the cut off when hot seams to be above 32psi. Anything over that and they start to go off.alicrozier wrote:Are these hot pressures?Victor Meldrew wrote:Noops and I run ours quite high.(29-31)..

Re: Tyre pressure
Do you not find that they wear round the centre of the tyre much quicker that the outer edges at these "higher" pressures?

For me at least, it's more about car feel.Stewart wrote:Do you not find that they wear round the centre of the tyre much quicker that the outer edges at these "higher" pressures?

Re: Tyre pressure
But if the centre's are wearing out quicker your not getting a full tyre contact, there for less grip surely?Victor Meldrew wrote:For me at least, it's more about car feel.Stewart wrote:Do you not find that they wear round the centre of the tyre much quicker that the outer edges at these "higher" pressures?

Re: Tyre pressure
It doesn't matter so much about wear when all I'm interested is grip and the car control. The centre
can get hot but it works well. On the road and on the track it gives reasonably even wear accross the whole tyre. For road use you ain't going to meelting rubber like you do on track. Most track sessions I end up with "melted" rubber on the edges. On the road you never get near those temps.
You geo setting will have an effect on tyre temp efficiency. With regard to wear on onside edge or outside edge wear.
For myself and Noops the 29psi target is working well.

Re: Tyre pressure
The 111R manual says 26F/29R and that's what I've run for just over 3yrs. I hate when the fronts go below that as the steering feels all soggy and the car loses a bit of agility IMO.
