Caliper Piston Removal (NLC)

Post by 111Robin » Wed Aug 26, 2009 9:29 pm

I need to remove the caliper pistons on an old Triumph 1300 to replace the seals. Fairly standard fixed caliper with two pistons (ie. one each side of disc). Using the pedal to pump one piston out, with the other piston clamped back, how then can you pump the remaining piston out having lost the hydraulic circuit ?. One piston is tighter than the other so I can't pump both out at the same time (there isn't enough width to have both pistons fully pumped out at the same time anyway)
