Fibre Glass Help

Post by Gourlay83 » Thu Jul 30, 2009 9:12 pm

Coming close to putting my clams back on the car and trying to sort out everything i need.

I believe their should be a compond/sealer between any 2 fibre glass components (ie where the rear clam bolts to the sill). I have had a look and can't find it anywhere.

Can someone confirm that their should be a barrier and if so where do i find it.

Thanks in Advance

Alan

EDIT : Searched Google for GRP supplies and it turns out GRP also stands for Gender Recognition Panel  .

Hi Alan
there hasn't been any barrier on the one I took off or any sign of any on the two I picked up for the rebuild, you can buy Rubber washer front clamshell fixings A111U6055F £0.63 + VAT for the front clam which is just a rubber washer and the panel gaps were just adjusted with differing stack hights on metal washers of the one I took the clams off
And a search here doesnt reveal anything else
