It's standard S2 Billies. Too soft to get the best out of R tyres & you'll probably get some scuffing on the wheel arch liner when you're giving it maximum cornering beans. You'll still notice a HUGE increase in grip however

I did not realise that they had improved the rear toe links on the S2 compared to the S1, so that could make a difference.

I will be interested to see Clark on track, he is a fast but safe driver on the road and I was soon happy to pass over the lead to him so that I could relax more, especially on the single track roads. Seemed to cope pretty well when his fluid boiled and he had no brakes, just used the handbrake and produced some great rubber smoke.

When I passed the MR2 road run on the Tomintoul-Lecht road of at least a dozen cars, it was easy for me in N3, but in a standard S2 he was determined that I was not going to get away from him.

The current state of my rear tyres is a testament to the handbrake usage (i may have seemed to be coping, but i was just putting on a brave face for Amanda!!) - luckily Kev has donated his still legal Bridgstones to get me by as he has just bought a set of Kumho's.

as for getting on the track, i cant wait....! i have booked the day off for AMP3 @ KH! just need to get the ar sorted out now!

Agree with Tut on this. I would recommend upgrading toe links though - if one goes and you have an off, you dont want to be thrashing yourself for not having done anything

Thanks for your advice Andy/tut/everyone else, i will do the toe links at the same time as the tyres, not this month tho....need to wait till the cashflow is back (the perils of changing job and spending my final pay-cheque on 5 weeks of gardening leave!) lol
