It was all the girlfriend's fault ok!!! she was yakking away in my ear and distracted me and it was actually only one pad that somehow dropped in backwards.

With hindsight... brake testing all the way to knockhill, thinking it was just a dirty pad that could be cleaned up with some rough love braking, probably wasn't the best thing to do. Car still stopped fine though and the pad in question lasted a bit longer as a result... so it's all good in the end!!

Back to the copperslip v/v locktite

Personally I go for copperslip on the rears and locktite on the fronts.

important not to copperslip the fronts cos the thread goes into the alloy upright rather than a steel spacer plate like the rears.
