S1 Nitron settings

Post by mwmackenzie » Thu Jul 02, 2009 6:44 pm

What kind of settings do you use on your nitrons for road use or in general for that matter? I know they're for track but I'm not going on track with them as not mine but will have them on for the weekend......

What spring rates are they?

Probably about 8-9 from full hard on the rear and 9-10 from full hard on the front.

Randy recommended -12F and -10R, but that was with "Hofmann's" spec valving... not sure where you got yours from.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

With that sort of spring rates and standard valving you find them pretty hard with anything more than a little dampening. I had similar on mine and ran 17 -19 from fully hard on re-bound and 13-15 on compression. Mine were 2-ways so not sure if that will help.

Take them out on full hard then full soft then in the middle.

then set the back to full hard then full soft with the front in the middle

repeat at the front

set them to the recomended settings above but they you will know what wrong feels like and be able to aqdjust to your own settings
