I have a knocking noise from what sounds like somewhere just beyond the driver's footwell when going over bumps. I had a similar noise before and it stopped when I hoovered all the grit up from under the seat. It ha started again, however, and is possibly louder. I also just bounced all four corners to check suspension and the front driver's side is emitting a creaking sound like old floorboards etc. As I am uneducated in these things I thought I would ask and see if anyone has a suggestion for what this is - as well as answering the usual - will it be okay until next service or should I take it to Ali now?
Thanks for any help!

Anti Roll Bar bush most likely. Replace or squirt with grease to shut it up for a while...

Yep - looks like you are right. I traced the sound down there and the rubber looks pretty worn. I take it rubber grease is the appropriate sort. Where exactly would I squirt it and would I need to remove anything in order to do so?
Cheers again for the assistance!

Any tyoe of grease will do. Some white grease in an aerosol will do the job if you can get in. Just squirt it all round where the bar goes through the bush. Don't worry too much as its not doing any harm. Just an annoying noise.
