Heh, it doesnt mean i'm right :D

I suppose it is a personal preference for brakes as much as actual performance. (being the last of the late brakers is probably 50% mental ability) but i find my current brakes as good as my old brakes in terms of feel, so i can only assume that my braided hoses didnt make a jot of a difference (to me)

Yes I was being flippant I guess!

All down to personal pref, I know that my car was OK on regular hoses but once we put the braided ones in I did like the feel and uber-confidence it gave me on the brakes on trackdays.

What was it you said, mental ability? That's about right - mental!

Braided do give a firmer pedal, especially when hot and combined with higher power and late and hard braking.

It's a confidence thing for me, braided hoses do indeed give a firmer pedal which I like, in the 911 with normal rubber hoses the brakes feel a bit spongy with late hard breaking which I am prone to doing pretty much all the time, or so I'm told especially by the misses.
