Good Book For Anoraks

Just got "The Rover K-Series 16V Engine 1989-2005" by Des Hammill. Goes into great detail about HGF and the design changes to the K series during it's life. Maybe I should get out more ?

I haven't read it cover to cover so can't vouch for it 100% but it appears to be quite informative. I thought Des Hammill was a K-series guru, is that not the case Dan ?

I have to agree with Dan, I have Hamill's "blueprint a 4 cyl short block" book and although there is a lot of good info in it there is also alot of pish.

I bought it, and along with everything else i;ve read on the K series, coupled with a few real life experience, I thought it was pretty good.

What's pish Dan?

From a lot of the stuff I have read on the K series over the last 15 years, a lot of the "respected" tuners seem to have totally misunderstood the design of the K series, and their "modifications" don't actually address the failure points. This book, although it does repeat itself many times, does appear to cover the obvious, give reasons and solutions.

A good read IMHO.
