Janspeed manifold - lifetime warranty?

Post by Shug » Wed Nov 07, 2007 4:42 pm

Can anyone remind me if Janspeed manifolds come with a lifetime warranty? I'll leave the sharper ones amongst you to figure out why I'm asking this question

Oh, and Stu, if you read this, don't suppose you could let me know what price you were getting alternators for? (another one for the Sherlocks in the room ;))

Did you buy the manifold? I know that their back boxes do but you need proof of purchase.

No, I stole it ;)

I bought it, from Race Speed, so I'd better still have that receipt somewhere as Owen buggered off over the hills a long time ago

If you can't find the receipt, is it not weldable?

Father Christmas mode......."Ho, Ho, Ho, Ho, Ho.........

I rang Larini after 18 months of ownership to say that there was no packing left in the silencer box. Their responce was that I was obviously using their silencer in a manner that was not intended, ie on my car.

But I said, it is still under warranty for quite a while.

Tough kacky, we aint interested.

I gave up at that point as I was obviously onto a no winner.

Janspeed repaired Mandy's exhaust without question after one of the baffles detached it's self (whilst going round KH)

Before me Elise, I had a Westfield Megablade.
My friends 10yr old son was in the passenger seat & stepped out standing on the exhaust as a foot step. He cracked one of the welds on the manifold.
Bloke in Edinburger S/S welded it for me for £30.
He done a cracking job - Raleigh Burner Welds !

More to the point that I'd like Janspeed to do it if there's a warranty in place - could get it welded in 20 minutes, but if a manufacturer puts a warranty on something, I'll be using it ta

Still not had the chance to get my head in there and have a looky, so jury's out.

Hi Shug

I would forget the lifetime crap, and get it welded,I did.Much less hasstle.

I need to order an alternator anyway,so will I get 2

I can get exchange for about £60,also £100 (bit better) or new for £85 if they are still on offer.
