Red Clutch Hose Replacement

Post by offshorematt » Sat Jul 16, 2005 5:05 pm

Just about to order the replacement clutch hose kit from Eliseparts to changeout the cr*ppy Lotus red hose when I started wondering if I was about to pay £70 for nothing more than a couple of metres of braided brake line and two fittings. :? Much cheaper buying from Demon Tweeks or someone if thats the case. Has anyone fitted this kit? Is there much more to it than that?

Fergus put a kit together for Lotus Ecosse (when it was still open) a couple of years back. IIRC, he couldn't end up making it and turning a profit for a hill o beans less than Geary (Eliseparts)

I'm sure it's just a hose, but you won't save lots buying it up and the hassle factor probably outweighs any saving.

Looks like I'd be as well with the kit, then. I guess the fitting instructions won't go amiss either... Cheers
