Worrying brake moment

Greens stuffs all round guys. Have been happy generally regarding bang for bucks with them.

However, got them properly heated the other night...in fact flattened the slight warps on my disks

....and then what seemed to be a serious fading moment from 70 mph with a concurring deep grating noise from the front as if i was worn right thru the material...which i am not.

gonna pull it apart and check for abnormal wear to explain the noise....

any ideas? I actually had to prepare for impact into this roundabout which i was forced to enter and (managed) to drive around as couldnt stop ... roads were dead though ( thats when i play at the limits)

i was trying to heal and toe too so was a little distracted by that and could not dedicate full braking force

ill let ya know next weekend when i get near my tools

how much is left on the pads? Since I blued mine they seem to have much more bite form cold, but that might just be me.....

Possible pad breakdown?

Are the disks corroded. Or did you make a mistake with the heel and toe and were on the brakes with some throttle on without the cluch dipped??

I'd get them properly checked out before it become clam time or worse.

Not much point having the power if you can't stop

You should upgrade the pads to Pagid R4.2's. Thats what i'm using on the mine, and as you saw at Knockhill, I was able to abuse them lap after lap with no issues, pax or not.

it may have been a mistake with being on the throttle. my right foot was feckin tired too, nearly cramping! Ive had the pads properly heated before in the summer and they didnt fade like this. gonna give them a wee look
