Well it finally happened and my boot has locked me out. The cable doesn't seem to be broken just jammed and no amount of 'persuasion' has worked...
Has anyone tried the new Eliseparts electric release? Looks like a winner to me but out of stock right now.
Anyway more to the point how do I get the bl**dy boot open? Any tips? Without drilling a fist sized hole behind the number plate that it...

Have you tried pulling back the wheelarch liner and yanking the cable from there?

Is there not some trick with pushing the bootlid down and pulling the cable at the same time? Tricky on your own I'd imagine

Have now!

Cheers. Taken the lock off until I get a new cable - doesn't seem any less secure than having a car than can be opened from the wheelarch anyway...
