Pretty much everything you do to,in or with an elise/exige/VX220/Caterham is fair game in here.
Just because your smarting a bit doesn't mean that a bit of friendly banter is off limits.
What makes SE so special is that we can (and do) poke fun at each other.

Garry,
Where are you based?
It looks like i may need an OS caliper. The handbrake mech seems to be stuck inside the piston on mine withthe result that the handbrake aint working and it is possible to push the piston back in without screwing it.
Anyone any idea as to how to fix this before i change the caliper?

If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!
Quick update,
Fixed it. Having read seloc I was going to take the cable leaver off and try to rotate the actuating screw throught a couple of whole revolutions just in case the act of screwing the piston back had somehow caused the mechanisim to bottom out or the like. Anyway when I put the ratchet on the bolt and turned it anti clockwise the lever moved to where the HB cable would be at rest and then it popped / cliked type thingy about another 16th of a revolution
i then used the ratchet to pump the handbrake actuating leaver (while not looking) and nearly pumped the piston out of the pot
.
Anyway all is working fine now, i think i had bottomed the mech out and the restricted movement was not enough to get things started.
PS Garry don't throw away your caliper as I found this on seloc.

NB
The handbook says that the cable should have no pressure on the HB actuating lever when the HB is off to allow the lever always to travel through its full arc.
