Hey all,
Rather late in posting this as I've already met a good few of you around about and up at Knockhill, but thought I'd post on the forum. I'm Kevin (Kayfur)'s son for those of you who know him.
I've recently got myself a grey Elise S2 111s - hopefully I've managed to attach an image properly below.
Any tips on how not to wrap it round a tree in the first few months would be greatly appreciated

Take it easy in the wet, especially at roundabouts.
Steve.

I pm'd Stephen last night to thank him for the log in details and suggest he put his first post up.
He did not waste much time as he had just got back from KH which I think was the first in his Elise, so he has got off to a good start.

If you don't want to wrap it round a tree, I would recommend a 'Walshy day' driver training day with Carlimits.com

Watch the roads when they are wet, esp after a long dry spell. Elises are twitchy in the wet, catches out a few newbies.

Welcome along.
As Dom says - quick car, point to point, in the dry - one of the slowest on the road in the wet. Relies so much on tyre adhesion with little weight behind it to cut through water and a "challenging" weight distribution!
111S is the K series motor to have though.

Great looking car.
Can catch out the oldies as well.

Good to hear you had it out on track. Good place to test the limits in relative safety. A KH trackday in the pouring rain is a great training environment.

I have always parked in gear but somehow this time did not.

Thanks all for the kind welcome
I'll be sure to take the note of the advice, had a bit of a scary moment coming out of a damp roundabout in Aberdeen this evening!
Rossybee I remember (if rather vaguely) meeting you back in the day - hope to see you around now that I've joined Lotus ownership!
