Hey Guys

Post by keevster » Thu Jan 26, 2012 8:20 pm

Hello folks.

Just thought i'd say a hello!

Not a Lotus owner as yet, but hopefully that will change soon. Owned a variety of performance cars over my many years :D . Currently have an FD2 Type R, that incidently is up for sale, to hopefully purchase a lotus.
I am yet to make a decision on exactly what i want, however the Exige 260 Cup is winning at the moment, but, and a big but, the Cost? Been picking Kenny's brains on here, and will need to get some research done.
The car will be basically a weekend toy, trackdays and the odd B road run. I am liking the new SC elise also, so another potential. As usual it may well come down to cost, but i need to part company with the Honda first, before i can move on.

Cheers
Paul

You should get plenty of good info and advice here. And we have a tame Lotus salesman ( Brandon) an ex Lotus salesman who now works for Lotus (Graemelotus) and a mix of past and present owners with a wealth of knowledge, experience and opinions :thumbsup

Nice couple of cars to choose from, especially for your first Lotus.

Welcome to S_E Paul, you made a good choice with Kenny, even though he is only 75% of the man he was. :D

ps:- helps if you include your location in your nickname details.

Currently around 9.5% but targeting 25% in the near future :thumbsup

Paul is one of the old-skool TRS mob, I vaguely remember previous attempts to convince him of the merits that come with Lotus ownership, guess he has now seen the light.

:welcome Tough choice. If it were me I'd go for he convertible. Had an Exige, not a 260 but I find the Elise much more fun.
