Radium Engineering: Turbocharging Your Lotus

Post by Radium » Mon Nov 15, 2010 5:52 pm

We would like to introduce ourselves to the Scottish Elises community. While we are new to the Lotus market, we bring many years of turbocharging and automotive engineering experience.
Currently, we are testing our Street and Sport turbocharger kit for the Elise and we plan to have kits for sale early next year. We will offer different stages of turbocharger kits for the Elise/Exige, to fit almost any driving style. We will be distributing our products across the globe.

If you get a moment, check us out at http://www.radiumauto.com or email us at info@radiumauto.com for more information.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

What I meant Campbell is that they are an American company, so for a fairly large object like a T/C kit, even if they would ship it directly to the UK which Jackson would not, tax, VAT, import duty, postage would make it uneconomical.

I was fortunate in that an RAF friend brought my S/C on his Hercules and had it supplied from a friendly American company who ordered it directly from Jackson. Jackson themselves were a PITA, no interest whatsoever.

Which is precisely what JP from Radium has done. "launching a new venture" etc, I think. Managed a word with Shug and Robin on the matter. You'd have been next!

If you have any concerns, drop me a note.

Yup - this guy contacted the mods first as per the guidelines and is totally above board. Offering (globally, if you read the post, Tut) turbo setups for Yota engined Elise/Exiges which I'm sure we think is a valuable bit of info to have - don't know anyone in the UK bolting on turbos (notwithstanding any advantages/disadvantages from a tech POV - I'm sure they'd be happy to answer queries)

Yes, it's a marketing effort on their part, but if they are keen to contribute to the forum I don't see how that differs from any other member with a Lotus related business that posts with info. The detailing boys are a case in point. As long as it's not unrelated spam and they contribute more than just marketing (and we, as mods, will be paying attention to make sure that's not the case) then I don't see an issue.

Perfectly happy to discuss any issues by PM if it rankles, but that's the viewpoint taken currently.

Missed that Shug, and was trying to get info on his site as to distributors, but it would not come up.

However if that is the case and he can offer a competitive/reasonable price delivered, there could be a fair amount of interest. 350hp at the wheels is quite an output.

UPDATE: We are receiving the last few parts shortly and will be able to ship kits out next month.

Below is some durability testing that we did on our shop car featuring Formula-D Drifter Justin "JTP" Pawlak
