Oldbie/Newbie

Post by cat » Sun Mar 15, 2009 9:29 pm

Hello to you all (at last!!).
I've been watching from the side-lines for about the past 18months thinking about my next move from my Excel which I'd had for nearly 4 years and decided to come up to date with an S2 Exige ('06 N/A). Picked it up last week and have been out for my first real blast today with KBR and a few of the other Lotus nuts from here in the NE. Absolutely fantastic, my cheek are still aching from the cheesy grin :D
Must admit, the best (and easiest) mod I've done in ages was to drop the tyre pressures from the recommended 29PSI to 22/24 F/R - the ride quality and overall feel of the car has improved no-end :thumbsup

Hopefully I'll get a chance to meet some of you guys from the Aberdeen and NE area over the coming months.

Dave.

Welcome Dave, there are a lot of imposters on here that come from the slums of Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow, but as we all know the creme de la creme come from Aberdeen.

You say that you went out for a local run today, who was that with?

Dave,
:welcome
Did I pass you on the way down to MMC a couple of weeks ago (white Excel, I was in the Black and Stripey Exige) - gave you a wave.
Which Exige did you go for, Graeme had a few in at the time...

Cheers,
Ali

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

It was myself and two other local Lotus lads (an Excel and a very powerful high wing Esprit) and also a Noble as well (his Esprit is in for a service !)
A lot of fun swapping keys and comparing the cars, the excige 6000 plus rev change power band is addictive
:D
The S1 with the new suspension was fun on the bends and the excige and the S1 had some fun with the Noble in tow till he cooked the brakes.
Must put an invite on the site for the local SE lads next time.
And welcome to the SE forum Dave (cat),I am also suffering from cheesy grin strain.
Cheers :cheers
