Hi from a Fifer without an Elise :-(
I've been up to see the car and it should be moving down to its new home in Fife next week.

Hi renny,
Just caught up with this thread.
I probably know your face as I have been a marshal since 1976 at Doune as I live in Dunblane and have been on the Rescue Units with SMMC since they were an old Transit at Ingliston with 2 deck chairs and a crowbar.
Next time out somewhere I'll look out for you. I think I am on the sole rescue unit at KH on the 6th Test day if you are there? I'm missing 7th due to the Glengoyne run.
Also if not yet found it, join up over on The Lotus Forums and say hi which has a very active Elise following and Model forum and I am one of the Scottish organisers. Many members are active on both and the run out on 7th is in fact a LEGS thing (The Scottish sub-forum on TLF) posted up on here as well.
Cheers,
Al.

Hi Al, you probably will recognise me. I'll be at KH on the 6th in the afternoon, most likely in the Scrutineering Bay. Tempted by the Glengoyne run, but my co-driver (SWMBO) is out of action, and worse still, the weather has stopped the car getting MOT'd, so I might not even have it by then
Hopefully I will have the car at Doune weekend, so can meet up then.
Thanks for the welcome.

Good news yesterday. The Elise has escaped from the snow, passed MOT and I'm heading up to collect it later :Happy!

Re: Hi from a Fifer without an Elise - Now got a S2 :-)
After a major hassle with the trains I finally made it up to deepest darkest Aberdeenshire last Friday and now my Elise (ex-Dave Kelman) is sitting in my garage at home.
The journey up should have been fairly simple, but started going wrong when I realised I'd left my wallet at home (though I had my credit cards), then when at Kirkcaldy for the first train change found the line past Ladybank was disrupted and we were put on a bus to Perth. En-route to Perth, I found out my lift from Laurencekirk was ging to have to be in Aberdeen late morning rather than afternoon, so I ended up on a train to Aberdeen where I froze waiting on him to finish working on a boat. Out to Alford by Range Rover (uxury of heated seats to thaw out), met Dave, who had to drive back to Glenkindie to get the MOT Certoficate so the car could be taxed, out to Glenkindie for a chat with Nicola and Dave Sedgwick at thier new garage, then off home over the Cairn O'Mount via Luthermuir following the RR. Discovered a duff tail/brake light as I was about to leave Luthermuir which was causing an interesting light display, then uneventful trip home to Fife (though the Tay Br was closed).
Now waiting on the weather to improve so I can give the car a good wash and polish. Minor jobs and upgrades so far have been to fit Nightbreaker Plus Headlamp bulbs and try to sort the aim of the washer jets.
