Advice would be to start off with a standard model, but a S/C Honda engine turns it into a Porsche/Ferrari performance equivalent.

Hi there,

A Honda powered S1 must be a lot of fun and I would most definately consider one!

Are there more obscure places rather than the usual Pistonheads / Autotrader I should be looking at for the more specialist examples such as the above or race / track prepped examples?

Don't suppose you're thinking of selling off one from your fleet by any chance...........

Cheers, I'll keep a look out for those of you heading through on Sunday.

From now on, anyone in the vacinity of an Elise is going to get bombarded with questions don't worry!

i have driven tut's S/C Honda, and it really is fast, i mean really fast! mind you im used to my standard s2, both are great fun tho, you get a real feel for driving, something that is lost on many modern faster cars, i came out of a 170bhp mini cooper S into my S2 elise and i wouldnt go back having now done a good 4 hour sesh at KH!!

i would be more than happy to take you out for a blast in my car some night if you fancy it. just PM me.

p.s. good luck on your search, however i doubt tut will be parting company with either of his s1's!! :damnfunny

Clark is correct, if we can keep going on our income to hold onto tuttowers, then N1 and N3 will stay in the family. Would love to pass on N1 to Clare/Ian/Luke in the future, and I will be thrashing N3 around as long as I am able to.

Just about to sign the house, possessions and investments over to Clare as Executor so that those wankers do not get their hands on it, so as long as one of us lasts seven years, they can go and fcuk themselves.

Welcome :welcome .

I live in Balmedie with Jen (The Wife).

Loved my Lotus from day one and doubt i will ever part with it. Started off life as a standard S1 (still great fun) then last year i took it off the road to rebuild and put a Honda in it. In the Paintshop just now but won't get into that.

S1's are great but a little old now, so could be looking at a few problems.

S2's are a fantastic buy at current climate, all the fun of a S1 but a little Gay. I mean more creature comforts. :D

You won't be disappointed either way

Yep, you work all your life, pay tax and NI, save up to buy a house, then some low life that has just claimed £30K on expenses to build a duck island along with the rest of his cronies decides that they will take most of what you have left if you are unfortunate enough to pass away.

Creature comforts......WHERE? at least in the s1 you dont have to remove half of the car to fill the washer bottle or use pliers to adjust the heater temp!!!!!!
