A massive thanks from Elaine and I to Craig. A wee deal that's been months in the making and she picked it up today.

Some time ago, Elaine had a shot of the Elise SC and loved it. So much so, that she decided that she'd like to move onto one, someday. Now, we'd looked at the cost to change from hers (an 06 111R with 37K on the clock) and it was a bit fruity, so instead Craig came up with the option of the Factory supercharger kit. Given that she loves the car and wouldn't change anything about it (other than the blower) discussions were had and deposits placed, the bits were bought and a superb deal was done where we combined the fitting with a larger service that the car was coming up for - so not only did Craig come up with a solution, he helped us work it the best way possible from a financial POV.

Long story short, Elaine's 111R is now fitted with the factory supercharger kit, a TRD airbox and a Stage 3 exhaust. What a transformation! Just in from a quick run into town (for her to pick up her work car) and it's actually a much nicer place to be - much less boom in the cockpit (her old Stage 2 was wrecked) and just the subtle whistle of the supercharger idling away at low revs. Had a brief (pax seat) blat on the dual carriageway up to middling revs and what a noise! Lovely muted howl, overlaid with this mental supercharger scream! Couldn't really gauge pace, as it wasn't my foot, so don't know how hard the throttle was down. Promise there will be a full write up as soon as I'm alone with the car for long enough ;)

Craig did mention that it was the most rapid factory SC Elise he'd experienced, so clearly a careful 37K run-in to loosen off the engine does wonders before nailing on the inhaler!

Not to mention all the little extras that were added at short notice (I asked him to supply and fit a TRD airbox in a few days, as I couldn't stand the thought of it breathing through the restrictive standard box) plus a phone call this morning (4 or 5 hours before pickup) to ask for a number plate change, as Elaine had gone and bought a private plate and all the paperwork had come through double-quick. All queries answered immediately with "Aye, we'll make that happen."

In short - without MMC in their current form and specifically Craig and his enthusiasm to make it happen for people, Elaine wouldn't have the car that she really loves - simple as that. Brilliant service, second to none communication and pricing that really does hit the spot. Bloody well done Craig :thumbsup

Snap.

Picked up N3 on Friday after a steering rack change and a few other fixes, cleaned up beyond the call of duty, and a bill that shows he still loves me.

Shug, really interested to hear your thoughts as I'd be tempted to go down this route in my exige at some point...

Another big thankyou to Craig and his team.

I turned up at Murrays this afternoon, unannounced, with a case of near hypothermia and a passenger side window which was stuck in the fully down position. Within minutes Craig had diagnosed the fault, ordered a new window regulator and had the window re-set in the up position. All covered under warranty.

Absolutely first class service yet again.

Thanks :thumbsup

Just picked my car up today from MMC, it was in for:
  • 9k Service
  • Gearbox oil change
  • Heater resistor replacement (done under warranty after Craig did some chasing with Lotus)
  • Passenger side front repeater lamp (after it fell off on the way to MMC)
  • Replaced passenger side rear tail light (after the Mrs reversed the car into another and cracked it)
  • Headlight bulb upgrade
  • Sorting out the airbag light
I have to say the service was excellent and Craig does an amazing job of keeping you up to date with everything that is going on. Just looking at my inbox I have about 20 e-mails from Craig with updates and answers to my questions just from the few days the car was in.

The car was only supposed to be in for a service but I kept thinking of things that needed done and kept adding to the list of jobs at the last minute which Craig happily accomdated no problem, especially the fitting of the rear tail light which I just hadn't had time to fit myself and Craig had it fitted along with sorting the air bag light all as a good will gesture.

Very pleased with MMC. :thumbsup

Yet another big thanks for Craig at Murray's and all the Lotus mechanics.

Evora was in to get a number of warranty niggles sorted out and Craig did a great job in keeping us updated on the progress of the items. Really great service as I was out of the country while the car was being worked on.

Top job with Murray providing great service again.

Just wish Brandon did not have such lovely cars in the showroom. That Esprit looks lovely and would look great in my garage.

George

Ps Judging by the thread : Craig & the Murray's mechanics have been such good boys/girls that there is no way they are on Santa's naughty list this year :D

Could have been in the workshop as did not spot it out back. Just thankful that Craig does not charge us any storage charges when we are away :D

I'm surprised he has room! There were a few there when I dropped mine off.

Must resist that Esprit though. WOW!

Just picked up the Europa from MMC this morning, had an issue with the heater again (heater resistor replaced only 2 weeks ago), setting three stopped working.

As usual a quick e-mail to Craig, booked in for yesterday and fixed the same day. It would seem that the main wiring loom connector was full of water (Must have been the heavy rain) which was causing the fault , Craig had it cut out and repaired the connector. As a nice gesture for having to come back for this Craig did the work free of charge.

Thanks Craig. :thumbsup

Also a very nice Chrome Orange Evora was sitting in the back too - Justin was that yours?

If you're at the V6 Exige roadshow at MMC whenever it is reorganised then we can do.
