Ape is on the grid - in fact all 6 reserves got on! Full grid yet again!

Just had to race to the post office to pick up my tickets, and Ali's prepping the car.

5am start in the morning, and another 800 mile weekend lies ahead. :D

Jamie was on track today, Ape was hoping for 20 minutes, and I'm learning in qualifying (although I did play it on Toca on my flight last Thursday!)

See you monday chaps

Neil 10th overall in qually and around 5th in class I think - Skeggsy had a blinder and was 2nd overall after Walshy (Skeggs is in class B, same as Neil).

Andy had a less good time - 11th in class and 3.3s off the lead (though Martin Donolly (sp?) - guest racing driver - is 1s ahead of everyone else in class A, so really just 2.3s off the pace).

Some radical suspension setup changes for both cars before the race tomorrow, so fingers crossed :-)

Cheers,
Robin

Come on guys - he's got one leg shorter than the other, walks with a limp and he's still faster than you...

He's irish, mental and taught me how to drive a 111R round Hethel :D

I flew Martin into Silverstone from our hotel in 1990 when he was driving for Lotus.

Bristows had a contract to fly the hospitality punters into the track from the Swallow hotel, and several of the F1 drivers used to stay there.

Although he had his own helicopter, he did not have an instrument rating, the weather was crap, the roads were jammed, so I flew him and three other drivers in as they would not have made it in time.

Of course I proffed from it as well, but it was a bad day for Lotus as both his car and Derek Warwicks had HGF or similar.
