holding up the engine cover (primary use and thoughtfully comes with a spare).
recovering oil/coolant* caps from the undertray.
makeshift tent (used in conjunction with showercape).
retrieving chilling tinnies from mountain stream.

* delete as appropriate


In fact probably least useful for holding up the roof...
