I subscribed to this site from July 05, with a payment in this month and then July 06 within another this year. It had been some time since I had last paid a visit to the site and decided to log on.
I was unable to log in and contacted the site admin, I was asked to provide proof of my payment which I did, I was then informed that the subscription had raised to £20 in dec 06 (half way through the £9 subscription year) since I hadn't been on the site for a while I wasn't aware of this, I thought I may have had an email at some point though. I was asked to pay another £11 to gain entry, I asked for a refund of the £9 and heard nothing as I thought £20 was bit much, that was on the 10th August.
I then decided to raise it through paypal and the resolutions centre, this is basically an area where you contact the seller direct and try to resolve the issue 1st before paypal get involved.
I have had nothing but abuse from the guy and I'm ready to escalate it but I want to make sure I'm not too wrapped up in myself to not notice that I may be in the wrong !!!
I have listed the correspondence so far, let me klnow your opinions.

Can you please review the transaction ID listed above and confirm that you are Rikki Logan and that you did receive £9 from my paypal account.
I've had limited access to the internet for a long period of time and have therefore seen no threads etc. detailing this change, the responsibility is with the site admin team to make all members aware of any changes and not just via the site itself.
I think you are failing to grasp where I am coming from here, you continued to take my subscription fee of £9 for a service I was never going to be able to gain accces to as it had raised to £20, therefore the subscription should have been made void as the conditions of this subscription had changed.
When did the subscription change to £20 ?
I don't think we are going to resolve this between ourslves are we ? Do we need to escalate this through paypal ?

Rikki,
I did contact the admin and received no response.
The admin team were my 1st port of call and due to the lack of response I had no other option but to contact paypal.
If the subscription is now £20 then why remove £9 from my account knowing that I was never going to be able to gain access and therefore would need to pay an additional £11 to use this service.
I signed up to use a service for £9 per annum if this subscription had changed then....
1.I should have been informed.
2.Insufficient funds should not have been removed from my account.
Regards,
Martin

Retarded claim,it clearly states on the homepage subs are 20 pound, member would have known that if he bothered to contact admin instead of running to paypal telling tales!!

Hi,
I had an ongoing subscription to the website your provide (livefootballonline.com) the subscription was yearly and an amount of £9 was deducted from my paypal account each year, the last being 21st July 07.
I have not been able to gain access the site.
I request that the initial £9 be refunded as I am unable to utilise the service I have paid for.
Kind Regards,
Martin
