Am going up to Lochinver on Saturday for a few days :D Route north is sorted as am visiting a mate in Calandar and another near Inverness. The route back to Newcastle however is up to me. Any suggestions? Was thinking of revisiting the TT route in reverse :D :D then further down the west coast :?: :?:

How much time have you got ? TT in reverse is a great starter in any case.

Is the Loch Rannoch trip still on for Saturday.......

Lochinver to Lairg via Laxford Bridge is a sublime drive. Slight deviation northward initially, but worth it.

Then pick up the road south to Bonar Bridge, take the old road to the south of the firth and take the "Struie Brae" cross country to Alness. If you have the time, leave the A9 at Carrbridge and thread your way over the Lecht Ski Road, down to Braemar, and down Glenshee.

Smiles all the way. Enjoy.

Sounds like a good run Campbell, should also be less busy going that way, rather than heading via the west coast, Gairloch etc.
