I am looking for PA11 and PA12 from umbilicals. A lot of this material comes up from the sea when replacing pipes.

Please get in touch if you know of anyone who could point me in the direction of these materials and where to get them.

Thanks,
Iain

I do remember that we did some investigation into these products when we were tendering for a contract with the water authorities.

The product itself is called Rilsan. You can get UK contact details at http://www.arkema.com/sites/group/en/pr ... nules_.xml. There's a UK contact number on the page.

Hope that helps.

Gary.

Do you know anyone who uses it? I'm looking for some used product.

Thanks,
Iain

Iain,

Stab in the dark, but you mention the word umbilicals, these guys are based in ABZ and might be worth trying! Sorry i noticed they were using HoundDog and thought they might be of use!

One line of our business is global reclamation of process materials. A customer asked me if I could source these materials for him. Basically we would buy in, reprocess and sell on.

The Coflexip (part of the Technip group) plant in Le Trait use heaps of this stuff.

It's used as one of the layers in dynamic risers.

I think occasionally, they have to scrap an entire extrusion run due to some QC issue or another.

Details here.

Cheers,

Eric :)
