How are you guys able to have such large avatar pics...?

there is a pixel limit it imposes when one tries to use a larger pic...

and...the animated ones too...how do ya do dat? :wink:

DDTB is the expert I believe, there are special software tools to reduce photos so you can use them for avatars

I just use Photoshop to resize a pic to the size permitted and adjust resolution accordingly so that it doesn't breach the max KB size.

If you're using windows XP just download the Image Resize Powertoy.... then all you need to do is right click and select what size you want it to be.... nice'n'easy...

Maybe time to have a word about sigs...

Gorrie's is about the limit for what I think is fair. Bit big TBH. We don't want this looking like a croooze site with the sigs bigger than the posts - doesn't do anything for those reading at work.

Agree - also huge text sigs serve feck all purpose (given that we`ll all have read them a lot as its not like there is 10,000posters on here :lol: )
