Ferrari F355 Pro & Cons Advice

Post by Ricky_111R » Fri Aug 03, 2007 9:13 pm

Hi guys, looking for a little bit of help and advice.

Thinking of selling the Elise in the not too distant future and fancy a Ferrari F355, has been my dream car since it was launched 8)

Now i know there is somebody on here(maybe 2?) that owns one, just want to know what they are like. I know they arent an everyday car, and servicing can be very costly, but just wondering how they are in everyday life really.

Going to look at one at Anniesland Trade Centre next trip back hopefully if its still there, so is there anything i should be looking out for?

Any help appreciated guys:)

Speak to Renmure as he did some awesome research, and looks like he also bought an awesome example!

I would say that you want to pay that bit extra and get a great example as it will help you for resale when you decide it was an awesome purchase but is costing you a small fortune for the pleasure!

Dave

P.S You lucky man!

Best advice to reduce serving costs by 50% is to get a spare car

Ricky,
The F355 at Anniesland (if it is still there) was sitting outside on the forecourt all of last winter - I know as I pass the garage every morning on the way to work... its not been there for a few months now - they have a Vanquish in its place although I saw the salesmen filling up the Ferrari at the Shell Garage across the road a few weeks ago. If they still have it and your interested then just keep in mind that its not been stored properly (inside) - who knows, you could use this as a bit of leverage.

Good Luck,

John C.

I have never been sure how honest Anniesland Trade Centre are. I have heard mixed reports on them, but have no personal experience of dealing with them. Not sure if I would be comfortable spending Ferarri money in somewhere like that. :?

Tbh ive been put off by Anniesland by a guy i work with, he had dealings with them and it wasnt pretty, wont go into too much detail but lets just say his car wasnt as it seemed and he got all his money back

Looks like im going to have to scour the UK to find the right one, ah well no big deal 8)

glad all the above was covered in my PM :)

Seems the good guys and the bad guys are easily spotted. With Ferrari its the whole grey bit in the middle thats the problem.

ps.. I went with the good guy ;)
