Court Summons

Post by tut » Mon Jul 30, 2007 7:46 pm

Just received it today after five months, this was the one coming back from Donington in March.

I wanted to got to Court for it, but it is at Wakefield. barsteward is that it is on the 7th August at 1000 when we will be on the ferry to France. One day earlier I could have been there then met up with you as you passed in the afternoon. It is just a few miles off our route.

Now I have to send in one of my letters admitting guilt, but explaining the mitigating circumstances. However that is not the same as going into Court on crutches wearing a neck brace, and having to pole it away half way through because of the incontinence.

Where were they when I was upto my knees in muck and bullets protecting them, whilst they lay in their beds sleeping...........

Tut,

Bad luck, I thought that after 5 months you would be OK?

What speed were you doing, and what do you think the penalties will be?

Did you get your N.I.P. within 14 days or were you stopped at the time?

If you want to fight it, write them a quick note saying that you are on holiday that day and ask them to move the hearing.

They almost certainly will and might even move it to the day before if you ask nicely.

Best of luck!!

Thanks all. I was stopped for 97 by radar gun, and given a ticket for a court summons.

They did not think that I would lose my licence, especially as I was disabled and needed a car, but I will probably get hit with many points and a fine, but that should not be too big due to my low official income.
