After reading j33ama’s thread about problems with the Exige and needing to get it transported it occurred to me that the free Green Flag cover I had with my Bank Of Scotland current account has come to an end.
Given that I have an 8 year old Lotus and a 12 year old Landrover it strikes me as being a bit foolhardy to venture out without cover.
I’ve had a look at the AA’s site and recon that I want Relay, which seems to get you to any UK address if they can’t fix it beside the road. If I had a simple problem I’d be delighted if one of their guys would fix it, otherwise I’d probably want it recovered to the house. Relay comes in at £70 with the online discount.

i have AA and think they're brill. £92 a year for me and gill, whatever car we're driving, as it's personal cover. don't know what plan we have, but we get recovered to wherever we want as long as we're 1/4 away from the house. i think the AA have a faster average (than RAC) attendance time (if you believe the stats...)

useful when on K power.... I too am with the AA - signed up when I had my first S1.
I have the "any car you are in" option, not sure what one that is, but it has proved very useful - used it to move my dads Z3M from the house to a specialist, and a couple of times with my van.
I also took out the parts and labour as it is so cheap it could save some £ should anything major happen.

I'm with AA, but they wouldn't recover me from a ditch and instead sub contracted it out to another company with the full winch/flatbed stuff. This cost me about £150 plus a 3hour wait.
All I needed was a tow rope round a roll bar to pull me out as the car was intact and the correct way up. They asked me a question on the phone "How many wheels are still on the carraigeway?"... because I answered "none", they automatically refused to send their own truck.
The guys that did turn immediately said "You didn't need us for that, a tow rope would have been enough"... doh !!
Still with them though, as the 'any car' thing for the wife and I is what I want. I think RAC are doing this now also though.

Think it's the 'Breakdown Repairs' option or something. Covers for £500 per claim with a £25 excess, but you can claim a few times in 1 year.
I'll be getting it when the Lotus Approved warranty is finished, which means I'll be sticking with the AA coz you can only get the breakdown repair cover if you have your roadside assistance with them.

Always been a big fan of the non RAC and AA companies.. I had recovery through my insurance with Green flag (£40/50 iirc) and on the odd occassion I called them in for help they were top notch, arrived in no more than 20/30 mins with the correct truck and off loaded anywhere you wanted. They call in local companies, that allows them to pick you up quicker and without the high demand of the RAC or AA they usually have the correct truck sitting parked up at your disposal.
Old man had Brittania rescue(think they changed to Green flag ???) years ago and the occassions that he used them put my mind at ease with using green flag.
