I want to start taking my car to work (edin city centre) but obviously parking causes an issue - does anyone here have a NCP season ticket and know how much they cost? Or anywhere else in town that is decent for parking all day??

I called them but offices are closed....!!!

I called NCP about a couple in Glasgow, and season tickets for them both were £2k. I guess edinburgh would be a similar amount.

I just bought one for NCP OMNI CENTRE, £127 per month. Good deal!

Cool we can be parking buddies :D

My price included a 15% DISCOUNT, and I know that both Waverly and the St James are much cheaper, probably under £100 per month with the discount.

If you don't mind the waverly for example, tell them you are interested but not ready to commit - let them know you are happy to pay £80ish per month, they should be able to bring you down. Tell them you have seen private spaces for that amount.

nice one... howd did you manage the discount?
wher is the waverly car park?!?! i only thought there were a few spaces down beside the tracks...
to be honest the St James one is just as easy but a lot tighter car park and not as good spaces - i always go down to level 4 of the omni as has the biggest spaces and a few single ones :thumbsup

Thats why I left the St James, been in ONCE and only once, never again. You also have Castle Terrace, haymarket, morrison street - there are lots of spaces all over the city with NCP. Most of them cheaper than Omni.

To get the discount, you need to first get a quote at a standard rate, and then tell them you are keen but you have your eye on a private space at (o a calculation for around 20% less), and hit them with it.

If they quote you £150, tell them you are budgeting around the £120 mark. If they say £100, tell them £80 is your ideal price based on other available spaces etc. I got 15% without even trying, probably could have got more.
