I have only had the hardtop on ONCE, for the first few days of ownership...
Anyway, tried to put the roof back on this evening and one of the rear threads seems shagged.
Taking the roof back to MMC to have it fixed or replaced, not happy
Gary.

Where exactly does it fit in to Gary... can you take a pic and post it up? Reason I ask is that there has been a bolt missing on mine behind the drivers seat since I got her... looks like it's snapped off or something.
Was wondering if it was due to a hard top at some point in the past.... appreciate if you could post a pic up, because if it is the same bit that is missing on mine I'll be wanting that sorted under warranty...

Going to sound pathetic, but I have totally lost my camera charger. Send me a text to 07779033665 and I will reply with MMS images.
Its the back two corners where you have a metal clip which when tightened hugs the hard top to the body of the car. They have little stickers on them with a caution sign and a "read manual"logo.
gary.

I couldn't get my hard top to fit originally (older model - '04 - though still current short roof). The problem was that there wasn't enough movement available in the rear fixings to enable the bolt to line up straight and for the thread to catch.
Thought about going back to MMC - but spent 10 mins with a circular file making the bolt-capture hole bigger instead. Works fine now.
Still a waste of money buying the hard top though - hasn't been on the car for 18 months now...
