Looking for a replacement for my time bomb Audi... circa 20k

Had a look at:
Porche Cayene, ugly but capable...
V10 VW Toerag, not sure about that one
RS6 a little out of price range for a decent one

Scooby 5 door... may not be big enough
Evo estate, hens teeth

V70R to old man

Any other suggestions..

RS4 Avants to be had at under £20k.

I would pocket £10k and buy a mint C43 AMG Estate.

OK, it's RWD and not 4WD, but an MG ZTT, 260... 4.6ltr V8... should see you under 6.5secs as standard.... pick them up for about £11-£14K then pay Dreadnought £5K to supercharge it to 400bhp... change from £20K.

The 400bhp upgrade is reliable... the 500bhp however...

Have to say, always had an inkling for the Forester STI..not sure why...think it might be summat to do with the butt ugly, left field, cool factor :?

For rareability how about a Mitsi Pajero Evolution?

Or for real oddballs try a Mitsi Airtrek Turbo R with an Evo engine in it???

The A4/S4/RS4 is considered actually not a lot bigger than your average Golf. Or we'd have 'ad one already. Agree for Impreza, similar challenge.

So for full-on family spec, consider fast Subaru Legacy. 3.0R models, with 6-cylinder boxer, perm 4x4 and sublime handling plus strong spec. Also various import versions if you really want to blow the wee one's nappy off.

However Saddos R Us over here will be looking at likes of Skoda Octavia vRS estate diesel in due course. Boot the size of an A6 packaged into an A4-esque size body and plenty stuff for your money. But many will still baulk at the badge nae doot.

2p worth.

The hmm good muscle? I am thinking this for example http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/185201.htm but with less miles.

I have mentioned it before, but its worth telling again - a customer of mine spent a couple of £k short of £100k on a techart`ed orange and black leathered Cayenne Turbo S about 10months ago.

Work that out!

My sister has an Octavia estate, and rates it highly. I have also been in several Fabia VRSs and have been very impressed. There is, however, a noticeable difference in quality between the Octavia and my old man's Audi A6. Mechanically, there are all sound.
