If it's just the 1 ticket it's not economical to chase you as far as court ;)

Theres a book called the drivers handbook which can help you get off with said offences plus others.

go to.

http://www.drivershandbook.co.uk

Well I think thats the site, otherwise google it well worth the 20bucks cheaper than the ticket probably!

Just pay it as Greg says, but in EDI always get a parking ticket, and always over pay, as it is not worth giving the money grabbing barsteward the satisfaction of giving you a ticket and earning commission off you!

Afraid im inclined to agree! Pay the fine and learn the lesson! And when you are pi$$ed off just remember that the Weegie wardens get around £3 per hour more than them!

I wasn't pissed off, I felt sorry for the guy. He was clearly nervous as hell when I returned to the car.

I got to the car, he got the camera and I knelt beside the drivers door, gave him the smile and the thumbsup, asked him to say "Cheese"...

He then took the picture and said sorry about 300 times, before explaining I had to do it, its my job. I just said chill out, and drove off.

Gary.
PS - I was RAGING until I realised how much of a wreck the poor guy was, these chaps have a pretty difficult job.

I top tip for you is if the ticket isnt on the car then drive away. There is nothing they can do apart from stand in front of the car and try and stop you. One did that to me once when i was in my old bosses RS4. He soon got out of the way!

I had a similar experience, I arrived back (not late by my rekoning) as the warden was writing the ticket. He said I'm liable as soon as he starts writing...

..."OK, you'd better post it then!", vroom.

I heard nothing more... :D

The ticket was already on my window, and he was standing with his camera ready to shoot.

I think mine was before the advent of cameras (well at least before traffic wardens started carrying them!).
