Just off the phone with the factory - they have a couple to finish off and then the work will be starting. Mine will have a few new mods (inc the new Honda engine) and will be the first customer car with them but they haven't made the changes public yet.
Changed the colour to black also - after spending a good bit of the last year admiring Ed's former Exige (s2 - batmobile spec

) in my mirrors.
R8 ATG will be struggling to make it for FF6, or we might have to make a detour enroute to Dover! Anyway some good news at last (hopefully)

feck ... they've a few to do and then they're starting on yours? Still... some progress is better than no progress. If I were you, I'd say I saw them in the F1 adverts with 470M and 1 other car ... that's one surplus to their requirements ... gies the keys!!

Andy
Atom fit the JDM engine at the moment, ie the same as mine.
Do you know the spec of the new engine, and are there both Jap spec and UK spec engines?

Andy - what's the story with the slow build time - is it just one-man-band syndrome or are they completely chocka ?
You have the patience of a saint waiting this long.
Apologies if you've told the story before....

New UK sepc engine has a lower cam switchover at 5200rpm compared to 5700rpm and produces peak power at 8000rpm v 7400rpm on the old, you also get a whopping 1bhp extra.
Not sure what the JDM spec is, depends what car its coming from but IIRC the engine in the new FD2 has 220bhp up from 212 on the old JDM K20A.

Spec was confirmed also last night - so hoping things are starting to get ready for action
In regards to leadtime - its currently 10/11 months! First time I'll have bought a car thats worth more when it leaves the garage

So what engine you getting, I checked the spec on the new engine in the JDM FD2, 222bhp as standard
